Résumé des fonctions

Relevant du ou de la gestionnaire, service para juridique et travaillant en collaboration avec d’autres membres du Service juridique, la personne titulaire de ce poste assure une assistance sur des questions commerciales, y compris le traitement des demandes juridiques; la rédaction de contrats; les révisions; la recherche juridique dirigée et l’assistance sur les questions immobilières; le soutien para juridique général pour les base de données internes; les processus du service dont l’entretien des dossiers de l’organisation; les litiges et les marques de commerce.

Responsabilités spécifiques:

  • Appuyer le Service juridique en participant à diverses questions organisationnelles et commerciales y compris les transactions commerciales dont en immobilier, la prospection et l’assistance en matière de litiges.

  • Collaborer avec des parties prenantes à l’interne et à l’externe, notamment des conseillers juridiques externes, sur des questions relatives à l’enregistrement de marques de commerce, l’enregistrement et le maintien des permis d’exploitation, les affaires générales et les litiges.

  • Participer à la rédaction, la préparation et la correction d’épreuves de documents juridiques; examiner les écrits instrumentaires et d’autres documents pour confirmer leur exactitude et exhaustivité.

  • Prêter son assistance aux membres du Service juridique sur des projets spéciaux ou la création d’outils pour permettre l’amélioration des processus.

  • Participer dans la mise en œuvre d’un programme de conservation des documents à l’échelle de l’organisation, de pair avec le Service de la conformité.

  • Assurer un soutien administratif général.

Responsabilités générales:

  • Agir à titre d’ambassadeur ou d’ambassadrice de McKesson et de ses valeurs d’entreprise, conformes aux principes I2CARE et ILEAD.

  • Comprendre et expliquer des principes juridiques de base et des accords contractuels à des parties prenantes internes.

  • Répondre de façon professionnelle et rapide aux demandes de clients et de parties prenantes internes.

Exigences relatives au poste:

  • Un diplôme d’études collégiales en techniques juridiques ou une expérience collégiale équivalente

  • Un minimum de 3 à 5 années d’expérience dans un milieu de droit des sociétés ou de droit commercial, que ce soit en entreprise ou dans un cabinet d’avocats

  • La capacité de composer avec des affectations multiples et d’établir l’ordre de priorité de sa charge de travail dans un environnement changeant où les activités se déroulent à un rythme rapide

  • La capacité de travailler dans un milieu interfonctionnel et de communiquer avec des gens à divers niveaux de l’organisation

  • Un souci du détail tout en maintenant une capacité solide à résumer et à synthétiser l’information

  • D’excellentes aptitudes à communiquer à l’oral et à l’écrit

  • Une expérience en immobilier d’entreprise ou commercial constitue un atout

  • Bilinguisme (anglais et français)

  • De solides compétences en informatique : suite logicielle Office 365 (Adobe, PowerPoint, Word et Teams)

Le/la titulaire de ce poste aura à soutenir de façon quotidienne des clients internes et/ou externes à l’extérieur du Québec et/ou aux États-Unis. Par conséquent, ce poste requiert une maîtrise de l’anglais à l’écrit et à l’oral. Veuillez noter que le nombre de postes dont les tâches requièrent une connaissance de la langue anglaise a été restreint dans la mesure du possible.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Paralegal, and working in collaboration with other members of the Legal Department, the role is responsible for assisting on commercial matters including general intake of legal requests, contract drafting, revisions, directed legal research and providing support on real estate matters; general paralegal support for internal databases, department processes, corporate affairs including maintenance of corporate records, litigation and trademarks.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Support the Legal Department by being involved in different various corporate and commercial matters such as commercial transactions including real estate, business development, and litigation support;

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including outside counsel, on matters such as trademark registration,  registration and maintenance of business licenses, corporate affairs and litigation matters;

  • Assist with the drafting, preparation and proofreading legal documents examining legal instruments and other documents to ensure completeness and accuracy;

  • Assist Legal Department members on special projects or the creation of tools to enable process improvements;

  • Participate in the implementation of a company-wide document retention program in collaboration with the Corporate Compliance department;

  • General administrative support.

General Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a McKesson ambassador of corporate values under the I2CARE and ILEAD principles.

  • Understand and explain basic legal principles and contractual arrangements to internal stakeholders.

  • Provide professional and timely responses to internal stakeholders and customers

Position Requirements:

  • DEC/College Diploma in Paralegal Studies or equivalent academic experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in corporate or commercial law environment, either in-house or in a law firm

  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize workload in a fast-paced and changing environment

  • Ability to work in a cross functional environment and communicate with people at various levels of the organization

  • Detailed oriented, whilst maintaining a strong sense of summary and ability to synthesize

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Corporate, commercial and real estate experience an asset

  • Bilingual in English and French

  • Strong computer skills - Office 365 (Adobe, PowerPoint, Word and Teams).

The incumbent of this position will provide daily support to internal and/or external clients outside Quebec and/or in the United States. Therefore, he/she must be proficient in spoken and written English. Please note that the number of positions requiring English language skills has been limited where possible.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$56,300 - $93,800
