Reporting to the Manager of Patient Care Navigation, the IBD Nurse Navigator assumes a pivotal role in the provision of comprehensive care, education, and emotional support to individuals living with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).

Location: St. Albert, AB

Schedule: Monday – Friday

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong working relationships with physician(s) and their office staff.

  • Provides patient education, tools, and resources to address any concerns throughout the treatment journey.

  • Offers ongoing telephone support, consultation, and assessment of drug therapies to patients, assessing adherence, optimizing dosage, and monitoring drug response.

  • Stays updated on corporate and business unit policies, ensuring compliance and understanding of relevant guidelines.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • LPN/RN with the College of Nurses of Alberta, Canada. Must be a member in good standing.

  • Willingness to travel as required, potentially involving overnight stays.

Key Competencies:

  • Previous experience in IBD Nursing is considered an asset.

  • Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills with a proven ability to collaborate and foster strong relationships with patients, physicians, and team members.

  • Highly self-directed and self-motivated, capable of working independently while also functioning effectively within a team.

  • Excellent organization, coordination, and time management skills.

  • Strong decision making and problem-solving abilities with a demonstrated aptitude for multitasking.

  • Exhibits excellent clinical assessment and clinical decision-making skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly changing work environment.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain good relationships.

  • Bilingualism (English / French) would be considered an asset.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$74,900 - $124,800
