Position Summary

The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing projects related to Supplier Onboarding; inclusive of Supplier Transitions to ensure they are completed accurately, completely, and in a timely fashion. This role will assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders. Coordinate internal resources to ensure that projects are delivered on time. Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress, at an individual project level as well as a consolidated view. Manage changes to project scope and schedule. This role will frequently lead cross-functional initiatives to ensure McKesson Brands requirements are being met to include Suppliers, Compliance, Product Development, Sourcing, Brand, Artwork, QA, Supply Chain Management, Business Insights, and other support functions.

This person will need to be a self-starter who can proactively solve problems, address points of disagreement, and lead cross-functional collaboration to resolve issues or avoid delays.  As a result, communication skills and organizational skills are important characteristics for this position.

This individual may also be asked to facilitate supplier screening which may include introductory supplier-McKesson calls, product sample facilitation, and requests for product quotes.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Leads cross-functional projects related to McKesson Brands.  Develops project plans, conducts project meetings, facilitates discussions, assigns actions, and ownership, identifies decisions and tracks progress to minimize delay(s) in schedules and/or unit operations that could jeopardize overall business activities.

2.Serves as McKesson Brands representative (SME) to gather business needs from cross-functional teams and translate into requirements for projects and tools such as SFDC, SharePoint, Highspot, Smartsheet, Sales Dashboard, etc. 

3.Meeting Coordination gather topics and slides from McKesson Brands Leadership team for various meetings, schedule meetings and set agendas based on feedback from Leadership.

4.KPI Support and Tracking.  Ensures McKesson Brands team and KPIs are tracked and reports issued including monthly scorecards, bi-monthly MMS leader calls and quarterly business reviews for ELT. 

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 4 years of relevant experience

Critical Skills

  • Project / Program Management: World class experience in managing multiple complex projects; Must be very organized, ideally utilizing tools from PMP, Six Sigma, or Agile.
  • Communication & Collaboration:  Strong relationship builder that understands how to navigate a complex organization to get things accomplished; Must have exceptional skills in interpersonal, written, and visual communication.
  • Self-starter / Independence:  Must be able to autonomously lead and operate projects and execute independently with minimal supervision.
  • Leadership / Accountability:  Experience leading others without direct supervisory duties, and effectively hold others accountable.
  • Influence:  Proven track record of influencing within and across organizations, including VP+ leaders, cross functional teams and external suppliers.
  • Critical thinking:  Ability to solve for complex challenges in rapidly changing, matrixed environment.  Must be able to make fast decisions and pivot around obstacles.
  • Experience in planning/directing business activities in an organized manner
  • Ability to speak on behalf of the Sponsor in key meetings, with back office stakeholders and to make decisions on program items
  • Experience with change management
  • Ability and experience driving multiple projects
  • Ability and experience prioritizing across multiple initiatives
  • Working knowledge of process improvement and implementation

Specialized Knowledge/Skills 

  • Previous Experience in a Business Consulting or Business Analyst role
  • Microsoft Office, specifically Power Point and Excel
  • Smartsheet
  • SharePoint
  • PMP is highly preferred
  • Exposure to lean methodologies is highly preferred
  • Healthcare industry experience is a plus

Working Conditions:

  • Traditional office environment.
