Job Summary

The Manager, Business Intelligence is a member of the Retail Banner Business Intelligence team, which is part of the Marketing team and a shared service within the Retail Banner Group. He/she will leverage a variety of data sources such as purchases, dispense, point of sale and other external data to generate insights and help executives and internal teams make informed strategic decisions in optimizing programs, products and services made available across our McKesson network of pharmacies. Working closely with the retail banners in Quebec and rest of Canada teams to interpret their needs and objectives and determine the best analytical approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret large and complex data sets, using sophisticated analytical techniques to generate trends, insights and recommendations that drive business outcomes

  • Extract, cleanse and modify raw data from central data warehouse and other sources

  • Develop reports using PowerBI integrating multiple data sources and automate reporting processes

  • Conduct customer analysis, budget forecasting and campaign measurement to identify opportunities for internal clients

  • Communicate data-driven insights and recommendations in clear and useful terms

  • Collaborate with members of the BI team and other business units to find opportunities to drive business growth, optimize sales and efficiency

  • Guides a team of analysts to prepare relevant and actionable reports, analysis and insights and manages their priorities

  • Responsible for coaching and developing direct reports

  • Ensure to follow key processes established by McKesson governance and compliance policies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in Data and Analytics space in different capacities with proven track record in a management role

  • Expertise in Excel, SQL, PowerBI, and related skills (ex: Power automate)

  • Intermediate Python, R, predictive modeling / machine learning experience

  • Retail/Pharmacy experience is an asset

  • Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to articulate data analytics and insights in easy-to-understand business terms

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, managing several shifting priorities

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with a variety of stakeholders​

  • Experience managing and coaching 1-2 direct reports

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills ​

  • Bilingual French / English is an asset.
