Summary:

McKesson-Compile seeks an Engagement Manager with over three years of experience in the health care industry functioning as program manager, client consultant, or engagement manager, particularly within a team that focuses on data and engineering with the US healthcare domain. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned guide for both expert and novice clients, adept in navigating and explaining the complexities of healthcare data. You will be entrusted with leading a data team, delivering technical solutions, and crafting detailed project plans. Your in-depth knowledge of the US healthcare system will empower you to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, ensuring projects are completed within budget and time constraints. Key Responsibilities:  

  • The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background as a program manager, client consultant, and/or engagement manager (>3 years) in providing technical/data -centric deliverables and products.

  • Must have a deep understanding of the US healthcare system, and the capacity to explain complex healthcare details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

  • Must be comfortable independently leading a data team as well as expert and non-expert pharma clients (E2E) through healthcare data-related projects and towards delivery of solutions and/or project plans while managing support team members to monitor budget, project resources, and time constraints. 

  • Must be capable of collaborating with internal and external senior stakeholders to create and deliver presentations to various audiences.

  • Experience designing, planning, and executing engagement roadmaps and project plans while maintaining a good client relationship AND maintaining/communicating reasonable external project expectations 

  • ---The overall expectation for this role in terms of client service, is MID SR. level - The candidate should be client-ready and must be able to help junior team members upskill.

  • Must be capable of guiding stakeholders (clients and internal) through complex decision-making processes in real-time (workshops, client discussions) AND over the course of a client project 

  • Must be able to effectively delegate responsibilities, and communicate across clients, projects, and internal resource teams (who will be above and below your pay-scale) with authority, confidence, and respect

  • Must be able to “multi-task” across multiple projects and teams, in parallel 

  • > 3 year exp. with US healthcare claims (medical, pharm) AND familiarity with at least one other type of healthcare research and/or data type including:  

    • EHR 
    • HEOR
    • Affiliations 
    • Payer landscape data 
    • Public health statistics / survey statistics
  • Prior experience delivering and/or managing data science and/or engineering focused engagements a PLUS

Soft skills: 

  • Highly personable

  • Collaborative and extroverted

  • Eager to build a practice, grow a team, and eager to learning

  • Effective communication skills and capable of presenting technical topics to US stakeholders

  • Deep Understanding of program structure and project management with a focus on big-picture processes as well as client service

Education:  

  • BA/BS/BE/BTech/AMIE or above

  • Previousexperience as an engagement manager OR Sr. consultant and/or program manager experience in healthcare ORAdvanceddegree in either: engineering, biochemistry, biostatistics, health informatics/bioinformatics, health/business administration, social psychology, public health, or other equivalent field of study​​

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$125,800 - $209,600
