Job Title: Account Analyst, Member Engagement – Rite Aid/McKesson

Job Purpose:
ClarusONE can only perform its role well if it has an excellent understanding of what our Members’ need and what their customers want. That is where Member Engagement comes in, playing an important part in providing insight and direction to our sourcing teams, who can then work across the global supply base to secure the right products at the right price.
Member Engagement is a team of 5 associates so you’ll be sitting right at the heart of the action. As an Account Analyst, you will be focused on Rite Aid, McKesson’s largest generic pharmaceutical customer, with an objective of maximising the value ClarusONE can deliver.

The Account Analyst, Rite Aid will be responsible for managing information that supports the day-to-day requirements of the customer and ClarusONE. Working for the Senior Account Manager, McKesson, the role will work closely to provide regular information, anticipate the customer’s needs, work within ClarusONE to put automation and processes in place whilst still ensuring that deadlines are met and value is delivered.

The role will also work closely with the sourcing team to ensure that they have all of the information that they require to source product that meets the customer’s needs and wants. This is a critical role and you will be expected to challenge the status quo in how we work, so that we can continue to operate more efficiently and better serve our stakeholders.
Your training will provide the specifics required in the role but what we need is someone that can solve problems, re-engineer processes, identify ways to automate work, analyse information and above all, someone that can build strong work relationships and deals well with people at all levels. We are also looking for someone that is comfortable to use their own initiative and isn’t scared to try new things.

Responsibilities:
• Working alongside the Senior Account Manager, ensuring that our customer’s day-to-day operational requirements are met and is information is made available to our member to ensure that Rite Aid receives excellent service;
• Manage and organize day to day sourcing requests and issues to support quicker issue resolution, decision making, and accurate execution. This includes performing quality control checks on various customer facing reports, identifying actions and the teams that are critical to the resolution;
• Maintain, prepare, and publish routine reporting (e.g., daily, weekly, monthly) required to support the customer’s needs. This includes preparing an executive summary / read out when necessary, conducting control checks to ensure data integrity, and identify opportunities for process improvement;
• Participate in routine business meetings with ClarusONE teams, the Member and with the customer. Identify critical action points, stakeholders, and ensure follow through. Work closely with Member pricing and sell side functions to help track and resolve product implementation and pricing issues;
• Perform adhoc financial business analysis to inform strategic and tactical decision making and solve business problems related to potential or current business opportunities;
• Establish solid understanding of US generics landscape from a supplier, wholesaler, and retail business perspective, as well as ClarusONE / customer business processes. Become familiar with customer product & financial implications caused by market dynamics vs ClarusONE sourcing actions;
• Establish solid understanding of the customer’s most critical priorities, key products, and current process pain points. This understanding (with business knowledge) should enable the Senior Analyst to prioritize simultaneous Member/customer driven urgent requests;
• Listen to, leverage, and promote the diverse ideas, perspectives, and contributions of others across ClarusONE and its members;
• Identify opportunities to improve and enhance processes through technology that reduce effort and support Sourcing, the Member or the customer in generating more immediate value.
• Cover the role of the Senior Account Manager, McKesson, during PTO or other absences. Also work closely with the Senior Account Manager to provide additional resource on any matters related to other customers of McKesson through the various channels;

Requirements:
Education/Experience
• Bachelors degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, Business or similar
• Pharmaceutical experience preferable

Knowledge/Skills
• Key account management experience
• Well organized, process and team-oriented with the ability to prioritize quickly.
• Highly motivated self-starter: ability to initiate and manage work with sense of urgency.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, results driven environment that is constantly changing.
• Ability to build and maintain long term relationships.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and able to work with all levels of management and internal/external customers to get results quickly – able to communicate complex data to stakeholders in a simplified and action-oriented manner
• Highly motivated self-starter; ability to initiate and manage work with minimal supervision
• Knowledge and usage of statistical and data manipulation packages e.g. Alteryx, Tableau, Excel
