The role will work to drive efficiencies in the management of DC delivery operations, expense and inventory analysis, market optimization, and delivery performance reporting. The role will develop efficient, optimized routing for DC Operations and Carrier partners to drive on-time delivery, expense savings and a positive customer delivery experience. Interactions with our partner couriers and DC Operations is an essential part of this job.
Key Responsibilities
- Support OS&D process with DC Ops Team, Tx, CXO and Couriers. Communicate and analyze within the framework of the SOPs to be adhered to by both DC Ops teams and Couriers.
- Collaborate with Sales, DC management/staff as well as carrier leadership to implement changes to courier routing and rating brought about by the on-boarding and exits of customer accounts via SAP/Master Data. Understand how these changes will impact operations so clear communications and engagement will be effective.
- Analyze and drive changes based on weekly Dashboards measuring Courier Scanning, On Time Delivery performance, Delivery Spend, Claims Losses and Markets Serviced. Communicate initiatives including troubleshooting for any adverse data trends negatively impacting the business.
- Support Tx and Corporate Finance group by updating and communicating delivery expense trends and changes to support forecasting and budgeting. Provide ongoing monthly/quarterly analysis including the break down to DC and courier level. Work with Couriers directly to obtain an understanding of operations and events driving expense with an increased focus on cost reduction measures.
- Partner with CXO and Courier Partners to identify and communicate potential negative delivery impacts including Late Reporting and contingency actions for both Linehauls and Daily Routing. Support Corporate Tx with the claims process to ensure all open claims are satisfied within the appropriate window.
The position requires the ability to monitor applications and identify trends in the data that require action.
Minimum Requirement
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience.
Critical Skills
- Transportation/Supply Chain/Logistics background preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with DC management teams. Proficient in MS office products with a background in Data Analytics.
- Candidate should have experience with Power BI, Smart Sheet or similar data visualization tools.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
