The Director of National Accounts is responsible for building and managing all sales and marketing activities to key customers for the McKesson private label products.  The role will work within the Commercial Marketing team on activities related to optimizing revenue and developing new business opportunities. This is a customer facing role within the Commercial team.

This role will have full sales responsibility and be the primary point of contact for non-McKesson affiliated accounts, as well as related customers under McKesson Strategic Accounts. Role is responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships and achieving market share growth. This is a highly cross functional role that is critical to McKesson Generics ability to drive growth.

Current Need

We are seeking a Director of National Accounts to join our Commercial team at NorthStar Pharmaceuticals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all NorthStar portfolio activities related to customer account, including portfolio management, sales opportunities, account setup and customer interaction
  • Partner with Pricing team to ensure accuracy on customer account pricing leads, rebates, fees and overall account profitability
  • Ensure alignment within Commercial team on customer account bid/ROFR related activities and overall account performance, including award status, price adjustments, and new product launch actions
  • Monitor customer volume performance and work collaboratively with Demand Management on performance at account level
  • Develop and deliver customer account strategy, including trending analysis, opportunities and profitability profile
  • Works collaboratively with Program teams, Global Sourcing teams, and Supply Chain on product and customer related updates to ensure consistent execution of NorthStar objectives
  • Responsible for all customer account inquiries related to NorthStar portfolio, including supply updates, proactive and re-active bidding, labeling, or material updates etc. Update customer with accuracy and in timely manner.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for enhancement and implement solutions.

Minimum Requirement

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience. Less years required if has relevant Master’s or Doctorate qualifications.

Education

  • 4-year degree in Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent experience

Masters Degree in related field, preferred

Critical Skills

  • 10+ years of work experience in Account Management, Product Sales or Sales Support role, preferably in Generic Pharmaceuticals
  • Strong communication skills for both internal and external customers
  • Highly organized and self-motivated with ability to multitask and prioritize workload under strict deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to influence individuals and exercise good judgement in a fast-paced decision-making environment
  • Ability to think strategically, logically, analytically, and problem-solve
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong proficiency with Excel and spreadsheet analysis technique

Travel

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$153,600 - $256,000
