Our Field Sales Development Program aims to cultivate the development and expertise of early career sales professionals. Successful participants will be promoted from a Field Sales Development Representative to an Account Executive role. As part of the Field Sales team, your primary responsibility is to sell McKesson’s product portfolio to an assigned territory or major geographical area/market, initially through phone-based interactions. As competence is demonstrated, you will have the opportunity to travel customer sites throughout your assigned market. Success in this role requires completion of checkpoint certifications, sales performance measurements, and demonstrable sales skills. Initially this position will work remotely, however, relocation is expected once the successful candidate applies for, and is offered, the Account Executive role.

Key Responsibilities
· Achieve territory sales and gross profit plans to meet assigned sales targets by maximizing revenue opportunities on each assigned account, reactivating accounts, and prospecting for new business.
· Complete a minimum of 3+ hours and 40 calls customer calls per day. *This metric will shift once the rep begins to visit customers in the field.
· Territory and sales management: Develops account strategies, territory planning and administrative follow-up to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Utilize all sales technology and CRM software to effectively engage with clients and maintain records of all sales leads and customer accounts. When permitted, conduct in-person field sales presentations and customer site visits with a manager or member of the training team.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, representing the McKesson Brand.
· Enhance selling skills through required trainings and certifications, in-services, and development initiatives, including self-study. This work will be increasingly more robust at the beginning of the program.
Minimum Requirements
· 0-2 years of sales experience
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
· Valid driver's license and clear driving record
· The ability to relocate upon territory assignment
Preferred Critical Skills
· Previous experience in the healthcare industry. Specifically, primary care, extended care, podiatry, orthopedic or emergency medical services (EMS)
· Experience with cold calling, sales negotiation and closing skills
· Previous sales training program (sales certificate, sales training program, Sales internship), a plus
· Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management system (SFDC, Goldmine, ACT, etc.), a plus
Working Conditions
· Traditional office environment
· Vehicle travel to customer locations, increasing over time in role
· Large percent of time performing computer-based work is required

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. Our Total Target Cash (TTC) Pay for this position is:
$75,000
$45,000 annually ($21.63/hour) + $30,000 variable commission
