Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of a distribution center for a specific product line or group of products.

  • Manage the receipt, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management processes.

  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers while maintaining high levels of customer service.

  • Minimize costs by optimizing inventory levels, reducing waste, and streamlining operational processes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, transportation, and finance, to ensure smooth operations.

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to order fulfillment, shipping accuracy, inventory turnover, and other metrics to identify areas for improvement.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to supervisors and employees in the distribution center.

  • Address employee concerns and resolve any issues related to training, performance, or safety.

Minimum Requirement:

  • Typically requires 5+ years of related experience.


Additional Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing a distribution center or warehouse operation.

  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and warehouse management systems (WMS).

  • Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures for handling hazardous materials.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
