Current Need: Our Strategic Accounts Customer Specialist Teams in Jacksonville, FL and Richmond, VA are growing! This customer driven role works with both internal and external business partners in support of multi-million-dollar accounts. Team members communicate account health to account managers and customers with a focus on GPO, contract connection, and margin opportunities. This specialty team has opportunities to grow within the department to different levels of support and account management!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive processes with internal teams to manage overall health of assigned accounts in compliance with team service level agreements and outlined metrics for rostering, margin opportunity, and contract connections.

  • Acts as a consultative partner that builds dedicated individual relationships and serves as a single point of contact to manage day-to-day contract activities for several multi-million-dollar large accounts.

  • Utilize strong relationships with multiple internal and external business partners (Account Managers, Customers, Group Purchasing Organizations, Contract Administration, Suppliers, etc) through consistent coordination to support assigned accounts.

  • Proactively communicate account health to the account managers and customers, highlighting progress on GPO and contract connections, margin opportunity, and customer projects.

  • Deliver quality resolutions in a timely manner by interpreting account issues, researching available resources, and applying solutions.

  • Make decisions in times of ambiguity, complexity, and imperfect information.

  • Obtain supporting contract documentation from suppliers through constant correspondence and assists customers in resolving eligibility issues.

  • Ensure that service level expectations are met or exceeded.

Specialized Remote Training Program:

  • Training is conducted remotely and is typically completed in 2 weeks (Monday through Friday)

  • This customized training program consists of systems training, as well as shadowing customer communication and reviewing customer membership and contract health

Minimum Requirements

  • Requires 0-2 years of relevant experience.

Critical Skills

  • 1+ years' experience in account management, administrative sales support and/or customer service

  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Excel - Pivots, VLOOKUPS)

  • Proven successful in reviewing and analyzing data/reporting to identify potential issues or concerns

  • Experience with contract management

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

  • Prioritization skills: balancing multiple competing priorities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

  • Business Accumen. Ability to understand the larger picture and additional detail as needed in support of customers

Additional Skills

  • High level of confidence & professionalism in all modes of communication with internal or external customers

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills: able to analyze information provided, identify the root issue, and use resources appropriately to solve complex/escalated problems/questions in a timely manner.

  • Ability to quickly adapt and adjust to change.

  • Ability to foster effective working relationships within and across organizational lines.

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Results rather than task orientation.

  • Group Purchasing Organization and/or contract knowledge preferred

  • Salesforce experience preferred

Education

  • HS Diploma required.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$22.14 - $36.90
