Job Summary
The Release Coordinator is responsible for managing the planning, scheduling, and controlling of software releases, ensuring seamless deployment and minimal disruption to services. He/she will work closely with cross-functional teams to manage the deployment of new features and updates.
Specific Responsibilities
Coordinate the release lifecycle for pharmacy software, from planning to deployment.
Ensure clear communication and collaboration between technical and business teams.
Oversee delivery of major releases, service packs, hot fixes and change requests.
Develop and maintain Pilot and Rollout release schedules, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned.
Be proactive in engaging support staff to ensure high systems availability and speedy issue resolution.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with software releases.
Monitor and report on release progress and performance metrics.
Continuously improve release processes and strategies.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a software environment
Proven experience in release management or software project coordination.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Experience with following tools: Excel, PowerPoint, JIRA, Confluence
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working in an Agile (Scrum / Kanban) environment.
Must be delivery-focused and able to take ownership of deadlines.
Ability to prioritize and escalate issues as needed.
Strong customer service orientation.
Additional Specific Requirements
Minimum 2 years working experience in a pharmacy application development and/or support role.
Command Centre tool experience.
