Shipping Lead Material Handler, FT Nights (Sunday 6pm shift start and Monday through Thursday 6:30pm shift start) Mandatory overtime

Our Distribution Center is looking for a dynamic professional for the role of "Shipping Lead" on our night team. This is an outstanding opportunity to help drive the improvement and success of all our team members and the building.

We currently have the following shift available for the Shipping Lead position on nights:

• Night Shift, Full-time
• Sunday 6:00 pm start until completion 
• Monday through Thursday, 6:30 pm start until completion 
• Working overtime is mandatory as required.

Responsibilities:

The Shipping Lead position will involve: 

• Assisting the Operations Manager and department leaders in the training and development of all warehouse associates
• Using current training methods as well as creating and implementing new processes as needed
• Operate Power Industrial Equipment as needed to assist in the certification process
• Supervise Dock and ensure timely departures. Maintain and conduct safe practices in work area
• Train individuals in picking, packing, quality control, sorting, loading, and replenishment functions
• Monitor employee performance to determine areas of improvement. Create and implement training steps as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Typically requires 5+ years of related experience.

Additional Skills:

• Working knowledge of Material Handling functionalities to include: picking/packing, sorting, replenishment, inventory functions, scanning, power equipment operation, routes and departure times
• Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
• Excellent communication with the ability to speak clearly and professionally while explaining and demonstrating the process 
• Strong sense of time organization and urgency
• Identify areas of opportunity or concern and create both process and training to drive needed improvement
• Passion and commitment to the success of all team members

Special Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the ACUMAX system, inventory/warehouse methodology
• Must not be on disciplinary action for any reason
