Lead Inventory Associate

Location: Louisville, KY, USA - 5101 Jeff Commerce Drive

Shift Details: Monday to Friday, 11am-7:30pm. Shift subject to change based on needs of the business. OT mandatory if required

Our Distribution Center is looking for a dynamic and motivated warehouse associate to join our team. ​This is a fantastic chance to work for a company that has the rare mix of a fun yet high-paced and professional work environment.  

Job Summary: This position oversees, directs, and works with associates as well as provides direction of daily activities for the DC operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complies with and ensures that all applicable FDA, DEA, cGMP and all other regulatory mandates and company policies/procedures are being followed correctly

  • Supplies Management (monitors DC supplies; takes inventory of DC supplies and submits supply orders)

  • Mentors, trains and evaluates progress of new/existing employees on company processes and procedures

  • Ensures all MHE equipment is operated in a safe and effective manner. Assist with inspecting MHE checklist to ensure they are completed accurately and when in use

  • Oversees special projects/labeling/kitting

  • Leads discussion in the daily ECM

  • Assigns teams members with the tools needed to perform their job functions

  • Supports and interacts with all internal/external customers including: DC Personnel, IS, QA, Customer Care, PM’s, Maintenance, Carriers and Clients, etc. Responds to request in a timely manner

  • May run departmental reporting, maintain and update multiple Excel and Word documents that are provided to various departments

  • Ensures all products are stored in their required storage temperatures

  • Evaluates daily volumes/projects. Delegates and directs team members to specific task to meet the maximum daily output

  • Works closely with Distribution Center to resolve inventory discrepancies (shortages/overages/damages/ and product disposition)

  • Ensures all daily holds/releases are completed for all clients by designated times and KPI’s

  • Ensures all destructions are accurate and completed on time

  • Daily cycle counts are completed and reconciled

  • Monitors, completes, and closes all IMS records related to Inventory Services by designated deadline

  • Assist in investigations and problem resolution for DC related errors

  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management including but not limited to returns processing, cycle counting, inventory counts, product scanning, loading/unloading, supplies management, destruction, kitting, labeling, RC/CA investigations, Cleaning,  DC support, and other DC duties

  • Reports all issues and concerns to management

  • Leads by example and always upholds confidentiality

Minimum Qualifications

  • Typically requires 5+ years of related experience.

Additional Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5 years of work experience is preferred.

  • Experience with inventory

  • Some leadership experience is preferred

  • Strong English communication with the capability to communicate effectively with team members (at all levels), customers and vendors - whether in person, in meetings, on the telephone, or through email correspondence.

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams with strong data entry abilities

  • Must have accurate mathematical abilities (add, subtract, multiply, etc.)

  • Must be able to safely and effectively operate battery powered MHE Equipment (Forklift, Reach Truck, Cherry Picker, manual Pallet Jack). Experience is preferred; however the location is willing to train. Must be able to maintain certifications once trained.

  • Must have a positive attitude, be quality driven, organized, punctual, committed, self-motivated and have an excellent attendance record

  • Must have the ability to time manage, pay close attention to detail, and multi-task in a fast paced, changing environment with competing priorities.

  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems; “SAP” experience is not required, but would be a great asset

  • Ability to foster teamwork by leading team members through daily task with little to know supervision.

  • Must have the ability to read, write, comprehend and analyze general business documents, procedures, emails and communications. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. 

Physical Demands (some or all may apply to this position):

  • Must be comfortable working at heights

  • Ability to walk up to 10 miles throughout the course of a shift (steps vary per shift)

  • Ability to lift 20-40 pounds repetitively throughout the course of a shift without assistance; ability to lift greater weights in a team lift (weight varies based on product) 

  • Ability to work in refrigerated/cold areas

  • May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day.

  • May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day.

  • May be necessary to work extended hours as needed.

  • Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.

  • Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Must be able to hear normal voice sounds.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$18.84 - $31.40
