We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Security Engineer with a strong background in Palo Alto Networks, Zscaler security platforms, and XSOAR automation. The ideal candidate will have 7–10 years of hands-on experience architecting, implementing, and automating enterprise-grade security solutions to protect both on-premises and cloud-based environments.
This role is critical in leading our next-generation network security initiatives with a strong focus on automation, Zero Trust architecture, and advanced threat protection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, deploy, and manage Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), including Panorama.
- Design and enforce Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) leveraging Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA).
- Develop and maintain automated workflows using XSOAR (Cortex XSOAR) to accelerate incident response, threat hunting, and operational tasks.
- Integrate Palo Alto, Zscaler, and other security platforms with SOAR/SIEM systems (e.g., Cortex XSOAR, Splunk, Sentinel).
- Lead firewall rulebase reviews, segmentation projects, and policy optimizations using automation tools.
- Collaborate with IT, cloud, and DevSecOps teams to secure infrastructure in hybrid environments.
- Analyze and respond to security events, alerts, and incidents in real time, escalating when necessary.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for architecture, runbooks, and playbooks.
- Contribute to security architecture design, threat modeling, and risk assessment processes.
Minimum Requirements
- 7–10 years of hands-on experience in network or security engineering roles.
Required Skills & Experience
- Deep expertise with Palo Alto firewalls, including deployment, troubleshooting, and policy optimization.
- Proven experience with Zscaler ZIA/ZPA configuration and policy management.
- Hands-on experience with Cortex XSOAR (ZSOAR) or equivalent SOAR platforms.
- Strong understanding of Zero Trust principles, segmentation, identity-based access control, and SASE.
- Proficiency in automation and scripting (e.g., Python, REST APIs, Ansible).
- Solid grasp of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, VPN, DNS) and enterprise security technologies (IDS/IPS, proxies, SSL inspection).
- Experience with cloud security integration (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a strong plus.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
Preferred Certifications:
- PCNSE – Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer
- ZCCA-IA / ZCCA-PA – Zscaler Certified Cloud Administrator (Internet/Private Access)
- Cortex XSOAR Certified Automation Engineer (preferred)
