POSITION: Sr. Associate, Site Reliability Engineering
LOCATION: 6555 State Highway 161, Irving, TX 75039
JOB DUTIES: Design, develop, and maintain our infrastructure as we grow and onboard more customers and more complex use cases. Implement monitoring, alerting, and performance dashboards to ensure visibility into all aspects of our application’s performance and stability. Implement, document, and design systems that are highly available, scalable, reliable, and self-healing on the AWS platform. Collaborate with other engineering teams and developers on best practices on using the infrastructure services, CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and supporting a DevOps culture. Assist in creating the organization’s infrastructure as code and automation tooling. Participate in incident management, on-call rotation, and drive root cause analysis. Create incident response plans to address issues quickly and efficiently, and document everything so your findings turn into repeatable actions; automate everything. Help identify Service Level Indicators and define Service Level Objectives to assess the stability and reliability of all our applications. Design and implement plans and procedures for disaster recovery, making infrastructure so seamless that developers rarely think about it. Continuously influence our engineering practices to consistently improve our MTTR from production incidents. Ensure and enforce best application and network security practices, adhering to compliance and security requirements. 100% Telecommuting is permitted from any location in the U.S.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field of study and Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related field.
Applicant must have 2 years demonstrated experience in each of the following:
- Programming in python, ruby, or bash;
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, including Terraform;
- Expertise in Linux system administration;
- Working with DevOps configuration management and automation tools such as Chef or Ansible;
- Cloud resources and concepts, including: networking, load balancing, DNS, and security;
- Identifying performance bottlenecks, identifying anomalous system behavior, and resolving root cause of service issues;
- Experience deploying and maintaining docker applications and container orchestration systems management environments in production;
- Working with relational databases.
OFFERED WAGE: $86,800 - $144,600/year
