POSITION: Software Engineer
LOCATION: 6555 State Highway 161, Irving, TX 75039
JOB DUTIES: Assist in designing, and documenting technical requirements for data flows between disparate operational systems to the data warehouse. Assist in end-to-end development of the extract, transform, load process as well as build data models and define, analyze, build, unit test and maintain new and existing software applications to support business requirements. Interface with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources. Explore and learn the latest AWS technologies to provide new capabilities and increase efficiency. Write SQL queries to test data, using various SQL commands. Plan, design, and document technical requirements for data flows between different operational systems and build the necessary data lakes. Write Stored Procedures, Materialized Views and Views. Investigate and resolve data related issues and provide support and troubleshooting expertise. Perform the design and operationalization of large-scale data and analytics solutions within a data warehouse. Work with cloud technologies such as AWS, working in a cloud data warehouse and data lakes (i.e., Databricks, Redshift). Perform RDBMS best practices and performance tuning techniques. 100 % telecommuting allowed from a home office anywhere in the U.S.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Experience must include (2) years in the following skills:
- TalenD ETL solution
- AWS systems and deployment life cycle
- RDBMS and cloud warehouse solutions
- Bitbucket or Gitlab solutions
OFFERED WAGE: $97,500 - $175,300/year
