As a Senior Software Engineer on the Clinical Decision Support team, you will be focused on writing effective, scalable, reusable, performant, and testable code while creating clear documentation. You’ll get to bring your creativity to a team that’s fast-paced, continuously evolving, and vital to our mission of providing the best cancer care for patients. You’ll get to make your mark here at Ontada by:
Working with product owners and account management to review & understand the business requirements and translate them into efficient software designs
Coding and developing new features that meet business and security requirements
Working with QA and product team members to refine acceptance criteria for new features and help develop test plans
Participating in code reviews to make sure best practices are implemented while knowledge sharing and mentoring colleagues
Ensuring applications maintain seamless performance and adherence to KPIs and SLAs
What You’ll Need
Minimum Requirement
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.
Critical Skills
- 7+ years of experience in application development.
- Proven experience designing, building, and deploying Java-based microservices.
- 4+ years working with UI frameworks and libraries, primarily ReactJS.
- Solid understanding through experience of database structures, queries and schemas (SQL).
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Leading & working with offshore teams.
What Will Help You Excel?
- Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
- Proficiency in modern front-end build pipelines and tools (Vite a plus).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Exposure to diverse monitoring and logging tools (ELK stack, Dynatrace, NewRelic).
- Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure).
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with Healthcare data (HIPAA framework), knowledge of HL7 FHIR standard integrations (HL7, SMART protocols)
- Nice to have diverse programming languages and frameworks like C++, TypeScript, Ruby on Rails, Python.
