Job Title: MTAP - Principal Solution Architect, Salesforce
Job Location: Irving, TX (Hybrid role)
Current Need:
The Principal Solution Architect, Salesforce is responsible for providing architectural guidance and best practices in designing and developing tools and which enable Salesforce processes and workflows for McKesson Technology. In this role, you will be responsible for working with our partners and teams to establish, integrate, and continuously evolve best practice processes in Salesforce. You will also provide input to the Salesforce roadmap, including onboarding integrations, processes, assets, and other relevant components to a unified Salesforce platform to ensure consistent level of quality and service across the Enterprise. This role will report to Sr. Director of Salesforce Architecture.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Leads and establishes standards and practices for integrating and maintaining Salesforce across IT workflows, architecture and functionality, within the overall platform model.
- Design salesforce /cloudbased solutions leveraging Azure (and potentially AWS or GCP where appropriate) to meet business needs while ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
- Ensure solutions adhere to McKesson’s enterprise architecture standards, security frameworks, and compliance requirements while re-defining and validating integration best practices, design patterns, best practices, and recommendations to customer IT teams and also business sponsors
- Provide solution and integration development with cloud and on-premise software including requirements, functional specs and integration design
- Work closely with enterprise architecture, cloud platform operations, and governance teams to ensure seamless integration of solutions into the organization’s cloud environment will be expected to Lead the integration of business processes across disparate systems
- Drive the integration workstream including definition, design, implementation and go live activities
- Work on multiple customer projects concurrently
- Lead and manage technical aspects of multiple implementations, ensuring solutions and technical deliverables are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. Monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure successful project outcomes. Review, monitor project teams adherence to coding standards & implementation framework
- Document project best practices, learning and share with the consulting team. Ensures all solutions adhere to regulatory requirements and internal governance policies. Implement best practices for data management, security and compliance.
- Mentor consultants & onboard new consultants to Salesforce Integration
- Actively participate or maybe asked to lead training and enablement activities to upskill business unit teams on leveraging cloud capabilities.
Technical skills and Minimum experience required:
13+ years in engineering Demonstrated experience in leading or mentoring others.
Salesforce.com experience is required.
- Salesforce cloud environment is required.
Salesforce certifications like System or Application architect.
Expertise with technology standards - BPM, SOA, B2B,EAI
Experience with technology frameworks - TOGAF, ITIL, CMMI
Integration patterns and experience with integration on the Force.com platform and IPAAS.
Data migration and common ETL tools (Informatica Cloud or Dell Boomi or Mulesoft). and Building applications, including understanding in multiple technology stacks and Salesforce.
Identify business requirements and requirements from the stakeholders on projects. Design configurable enterprise system based on requirements.
Choose system architecture and each individual component.
Help troubleshoot, resolve and track Salesforce integration issues.
Support architectural review and code-review.
Help in creating unified development standards in the company.
Control the architecture during the next iteration of the system release.
Analyze new business processes and perform business process re-engineering.
Knowledge of data modeling and clear understanding of data structures and relationships.
Communication skills with the ability to work with various business and IT areas
Ability to collaborate with different business and IT areas at different levels of the organization.
Strong organizational skills.
Preferred Experience:
Agile experience a plus but not required.
Atlassian suite experience is desired.
Education:Bachelor’s degree (Information Technology/Information Systems or related), or equivalent experience.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
