The Lead IT Architect – Operational Reporting & Analytics will set architectural vision for operational reporting and analytics solutions that support multiple business units/segments across McKesson.  This role serves as the IT Architect for the technical resources required to lead, plan, direct and control activities for operational reporting and analytics solutions with operational excellence and compliance framework in mind.

The Architect will enable key business relationships as well as work collaboratively with stakeholders in other McKesson Technology areas including Order to Cash, Finance, Customer Experience/B2B, Distribution Operations, Procure to Pay.  This role will also actively participate in crafting the long-term vision for operational reporting and analytics at McKesson. This is an exciting, hands-on role based out of our Las Colinas office (Dallas, TX). 

Key Responsibilities:
As a McKesson Technology (MT) knowledge leader for operational reporting and analytics with MT’s diverse operational systems, you are to provide technical thought leadership in support of McKesson’s business objectives.

  • Advise the business and help define optimal and compliant solutions for the combined US Pharmaceutical Solutions & Services, CMM-Third Party Logistics and Corporate functions business areas specific to operational reporting and analytics.  

  • Improve operational reporting solutions processes related to efficiently creating user capabilities and systems meeting compliance and operational excellence needs.

  • Responsible to lead key design activities, delivery milestones, lead consensus discussions/alignment with key business stakeholders and other IT teams.

  • Partner with Portfolio Management, McKesson Technology Architecture and vendor Solution teams to develop technical service roadmaps, incorporating both current and future capabilities to meet customer’s operational reporting needs across SAP BW, Native HANA, BW/4HANA, Datasphere, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Business Objects, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Tableau, cloud applications, AI and emerging technologies.

  • Drive internal process maturity of the Architecture and Solution function within the Operational Reporting organization.


Qualifications/Experience:

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing across SAP BW, native HANA, BW/4HANA, SAP-ECC and S4, Cloud technologies like DataSphere, BTP, visualization and reporting tools like SAP Business Objects, Tableau, Power BI with a focus on operational excellence and compliance.

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) and SAP DataSphere based design & development, 

  • Experience and understanding of core supply chain business processes across order to cash, procure to pay, finance and master data functions in the pharmaceutical wholesale distribution business.

  • Demonstrated success in leading alignment discussions with both business stakeholders and other IT teams.

  • Proficient in assessing compatibility and designing and developing integrated IT architecture (process, applications, data, and technology) solutions to solve business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and industry compliance standards.

  • Successfully collaborating with developers, analysts, solution, and technical architects to drive best practices in development and design standards, data governance and data quality (data masking, data mapping, cleansing), test design and documentation.

  • Demonstrated success in identifying system design weaknesses and continually improve, automate, simplify ongoing data warehouse and reporting system processes.

  • Experience in application and infrastructure security control mechanisms.

  • Experience navigating and articulating scope related decisions and drawing conclusions related to design needs and decisions throughout Agile PI phases.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$145,700 - $242,900
