McKesson is seeking an IT Computer Operations Support Representative. This role supports an Automated Prescription Refill Center (ARC) for a major retailer in the areas of computer systems as well as mechanical systems.

Position Description

The IT Computer Operations Support Representative is responsible for the maintenance activities of an Automated Refill Center IT systems (i.e., computer, network, peripheral devices). 

  • Work in cooperation with onsite customer to address IT specific needs.
  • Reviews and analyzes reports, records, and directives, and confers with managers/ supervisors to obtain data required for planning activities, such as new commitments, status of work in progress, and problems encountered.   
  • Finds new ways of delivering system pertinent performance analytics.
  • May evaluate current procedures and practices for accomplishing department objectives and develop and implement improved procedures and practices.
  • Creates and maintain reporting structures in SQL environments at customer demand.
  • Works with associated vendors to operate, maintain and support proprietary and shelf system software systems. 
  • Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains computer networks, hardware, and software.
  • Engage in preventative maintenance of all IT PC and server systems.
  • Installs, configures, troubleshoot, and maintains peripheral devices, including inkjet printers, Intermec direct thermal printers, Zebra direct thermal printers and handheld Gladiator computer units.
  • Work in unison with maintenance team and assist with troubleshooting on mechanical and automated dispensing systems utilizing IT components.

Minimum Requirements

Typically requires 3+ years of related experience

Critical Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, pass symptoms to root cause levels.
  • Must have the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and repair simple LAN based networks and network components such as routers, switches, port expanders, and handheld communication devices.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office to include MS Access, Excel, SQL Servers and Windows 7 and Windows 10.
  • SQL Server Reporting Services and Basic knowledge of SQL queries.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to analyze basic log file output code.
  • Strong critical thinking skills when troubleshooting issues in a time sensitive production environment.
  • Professional communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills in a fast paced and ever-changing work environment.

Additional Knowledge & Skills

Computer:

  • Analyze cards and chips and replace if necessary.
  • 1-2+ years IT customer service support

    1+ years IT/ Networking experience on VLSI, multiplatform systems

    1+ years Microsoft SSRS / SQL report writing.

  • Troubleshoot network (Ethernet) systems.
  • PLC Programming/troubleshooting – Must be able to analyze, repair and program PLC controlled automation in a timely and concise manner. All equipment in the CF pharmacy is controlled by a PLC and knowing how to troubleshoot, read schematics and diagrams, and program is a plus.
  • Troubleshoot cabling and I/O devices, including crimping RJ-45 CAT6 cabling.
  • Ability to setup and analyze RS232/RS422 communications between computers or computer and peripheral devices.
  • Able to work with Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016.
  • Configure and troubleshoot HP and Dell compatible computers.
  • 3-D Printing Experience is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment desired.

Education

4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience
SQL Certification Desired

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have flexibility to work overtime hours depending on needs of the business, which may include holidays and weekends.
  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of shift.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. $28.99 - $48.31
