Yard Coordinator, Warehouse
Location: Erlanger, KY, USA - 2825 Crescent Springs Pike
Shift Details: Friday. Saturday, Sunday, Monday. 6a-4:30pm – 4, 10 hour shifts. Overtime over 40 hrs/week
Compensation: Competitive base salary with a 5% bonus plan + $2000 signing bonus
Full-time, permanent

Job Summary
Reporting to the Sr. Transportation Manager, the Yard Transportation Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring our Operations, Transportation and Quality systems are all functioning as planned, and acting as the key communicator when deviations occur. Daily duties include monitoring proper trailer temperatures are maintained, third party vendor oversight, and overall efficient coordination of Erlanger Yard activities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide oversight and management of Erlanger warehouse yard activities for quality control of biohazard products
Responsible for trailer temperature management for trailers in the yard
Coordinate trailer parking and yard organization
Monitor yard activity to ensure McKesson protocols are being followed by external maintenance and CRST employees
Direct and monitor any maintenance/service personnel in yard
Validate any temperatures to ensure adjustments are returned to the correct setting
Complete yard Inspections: Check /monitor trailer fuel levels and visually inspect trailers, documenting any issues to forward to CRST
Ensure timely yard tractor maintenance is performed as per preventative maintenance schedule
Direct and assist drivers, as needed
Liaison between CRST, Warehouse & Transportation on trailer issues (maintenance and/or equipment) or changes in communication
Updates arrival and departure board(s) and communicates to center operations
Works in collaboration with the 3PL transportation on-call person to review - starting Wednesday and update through Sunday
Follow up on deficiencies identified and general Check In (Drivers)
Maintain OSHA standards
Minimum Qualifications
Typically requires 5+ years of related experience
Additional Qualifications and Skills:
5+ years of experience in Transportation Operations / Yard Management / Facilities is preferred
Must have a valid regular drivers license. CDL would be an asset.
Ability to drive yard tractor and move trailers, as needed
Familiarity with refrigerated trailers and key components
Power Equipment experience is preferred; however, location is willing to train. Must be able to maintain certifications.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Teams, Outlook)
Exposure to Smartsheet preferred
Exposure to OSHA and other health guidelines as it applies to bio-hazard products or yard equipment
Strong attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse setting with different levels of internal and external stakeholders
Ability to be autonomous in work
Good critical thinking skills with the ability to see the “big picture” and be proactive
Excellent organization and prioritization in a fast paced environment
Other tasks may be assigned to improve and maintain the proper training and support of the DC
Physical Demands:
Must be comfortable working at heights
Ability to walk up to 10 miles throughout the course of a shift (steps vary per shift)
Some lifting may be required
Ability to work in refrigerated/cold areas
Ability to work outdoors in all conditions
Ability to work in an environment that handles biohazard products
May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day.
May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day.
May be necessary to work extended hours as needed.
Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.
Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to hear normal voice sounds.
