The Transportation Analyst – Plasma is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of temperature-controlled transportation equipment, ensuring exceptional customer service and adherence to quality standards. This role plays a key part in managing plasma and intra-3PL/McKesson product movements, supporting operational efficiency, and driving cost-saving initiatives through data analysis and client collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of a temperature-controlled fleet to meet safety, service, and quality metrics.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for plasma client communications, addressing volume changes and resolving issues.
- Track and analyze data for on-time performance, billing, and operational metrics.
- Develop weekly schedules, communicating changes as necessary; collect data to support analytics for cost savings initiatives, RFPs response, and use in RFQs.
- Monitor and implement risk management strategies related to traffic, weather, and other disruptions. Includes oversight and communication to potentially impacted business partners.
- Respond to transportation alerts for the cold chain fleet and coordinate appropriate actions.
- Support billing and invoice auditing processes.
- Provide data and insights for client presentations and internal stakeholders, including cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Create reports, presentations, and communications to support and deliver operational transparency and decision-making cross-functionally and with clients.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience
- 5+ years of transportation experience, preferably in a large, multi-level organization including route management and cost management.
- Demonstrated leadership in customer engagement and business impact decision-making.
Critical Skills
- Experience in cold-chain transportation operations.
- Proven ability to manage 24/7 dedicated fleet operations.
- Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on cost, time, and distribution improvements.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills, especially with customers and senior management.
Additional Skills
- Experience with SAP and MercuryGate is a plus.
- Background in transportation auditing is desirable.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field, or equivalent experience.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
