Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven individual to support warehouse efficiency through strategic slotting based on inventory forecasts and sales trends. This role plays a key part in ensuring optimal product placement to enhance pick rates, minimize congestion, and support inventory accuracy.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze inventory data, sales trends, and forecasting reports to determine optimal product slotting within the warehouse.

  • Maintain and update slotting strategies in warehouse management systems (WMS).

  • Collaborate with purchasing, inventory control, and operations teams to ensure timely updates to slotting based on upcoming demand.

  • Use forecasting models to anticipate volume shifts and recommend slotting adjustments.

  • Monitor KPIs related to picking efficiency, travel time, and space utilization; suggest improvements as needed.

  • Support new item setups and re-slotting projects with data-driven recommendations.

  • Assist with seasonal or promotional slotting plans based on projected demand.

Minimum Requirement: Typically requires 3+ years of related experience.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field is a bonus.

  • 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or inventory planning role.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with WMS or ERP systems preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to interpret and act on data trends and forecasts.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with slotting software (Manhattan Associates).

  • Familiarity with forecasting tools or basic statistical models.

  • Knowledge of lean warehouse practices or Six Sigma principles.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$18.39 - $30.65
