We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Software Engineering Lead to join our team and drive excellence in design, development, and deployment. Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams of engineers in the design, development, and deployment of innovative software solutions.
Lead the design and implementation of complex software systems, considering factors such as performance, security, and integration.
Analyze functional and technical requirements and convert these specs into a technical design.
Build, deploy, test, and debug components in accordance with best practices throughout the SDLC.
Ensure adherence to coding standards, perform code reviews, and implement best practices to maintain high-quality codebases.
Identify potential risks and challenges in projects and devise efficient mitigation strategies. Act proactively to avoid roadblocks and ensure smooth project execution.
Full collaboration as an Agile Scrum team developer to include proactive sharing of accomplishments, knowledge, lessons, and updates across the team.
Collaborate with business, product andtechnical partners to identify and scope the opportunities, risks, quantify costs, outline potential value and ROI.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, encouraging innovation, efficiency, and collaborative problem-solving.

Candidate must be based in the metropolitan area of our hub city Columbus, OH. Position will primarily allow for remote working.
Critical Skills
8+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails.
5+ years of experience using React, Angular and Vue or similar modern JavaScript frameworks.
5+ years of experience using TypeScript, Node.JS frameworks.
3+ years of experience integrating frontend tools (e.g., React, Vue.js) with Ruby on Rails backends via REST orGraphQL.
2+ years of experience working with background processing at scale (e.g.,Sidekiq, Redis).
Preferred Skills:
Demonstrated experience with Microservices architecture, web services, RESTful Apis andGraphQL
Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong experience with database technologies such as SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
Experience in testing frameworks (usingRSpec, Jest,etc).
Familiarity with platforms like MuleSoft and/or Kafka.
Familiarity with tools like Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions.
Additional Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
Experience driving feature design reviews, documentation, UX reviews, and working with Product Managers through the entire launch process.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential issues.
Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Experience with an Agile team.
Willingness to learn and experiment new technology, innovate and seek resources to learn, grow and find solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
(Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience)
B.S. degree in Computer Science or related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of experience in software development in a team environment.
Physical Requirements
Must be ready to work from the office location on a hybrid basis.
