We're looking for a Site Reliability Engineer who can seamlessly blend technical expertise with innovative thinking to ensure our systems run smoothly and efficiently. What You'll Do:

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring the reliability and performance of our cloud infrastructure. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and managing scalable applications using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and cloud-native tools. You'll leverage your expertise in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform to automate infrastructure deployment and management. With a keen eye for detail, you'll monitor system health and troubleshoot issues using Datadog, ensuring our services meet high availability standards. Collaborating closely with development teams, you'll contribute to building resilient microservices architectures and enhance our CI/CD pipelines for efficient code integration. Additionally, you'll play a crucial role in securing our environments by managing secrets withHashiCorpVault and maintaining compliance with industry standards. Your innovative solutions and proactive approach will help us continuously improve our systems and delight our clients with seamless digital experiences.

Candidate must be based in the metropolitan area of our hub city Columbus, OH. Position will primarily allow for remote working

Minimum Qualifications:

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Critical Skills:

  • 3-5 years in Site Reliability Engineering or similar role.

  • Experience with Azure cloud services and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

  • Proficient in Kubernetes andArgoCDfor application deployment and management.

  • Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, especially Terraform Cloud.

  • Expertise inHashiCorpVault for secure storage and secretsmanagement. Familiarwith service mesh technologies likeHashiCorpConsul.

  • Experience with Datadog for monitoring and troubleshooting.

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.

Preferred Skills:

Cloud-Native Tools and Practices:

  • Understanding of cloud-native architectures and Docker containerization.

  • Knowledge of microservices architecture in cloud environments.

Security and Compliance:

  • Familiar with cloud security best practices.

  • Experience managing compliance standards in cloud infrastructure.

Problem Solving and Debugging:

  • Strong analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving complex system issues.

  • Capable of root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Excellent collaboration skills with development teams and stakeholders.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for documentation.

Adaptability and Continuous Learning:

  • Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and SRE practices.

  • Ability to quickly adapt to new tools and technologies.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.

  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Developer (CKAD).

  • HashiCorpCertified: Terraform Associate or Vault Associate.

Additional Qualities:

  • Experience with AWS or GCP is a plus.

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps culture.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$88,500 - $147,500
