Job Description
The Lead Material Handler provides guidance to ensure Material Handlers successfully perform all positions in the warehouse Company standards.
Additional key functions:
inventory, receiving, picking, packing, quality control, sorting, loading, and replenishment functions..
Schedule Saturday - Tuesday 7am start - 4/10's
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Oversees day-to-day Material Handling operations, ensuring that performance metrics are met or exceeded
- Oversees efficient and safe operations and driving of a Reach Truck and/or Order Picker in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Reviews materials and supplies disposition
- Provides training on RF scanning equipment (handheld device) to maintain accurate records of shipped merchandise
- Operates and drives a Reach Truck and/or Order Picker in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Monitors that materials are examined, stocked, and distributed with attention to detail
- Manages timeline and requirements within each area
- Monitors that all objectives are achieved and proactively communicates improvement goals
- Identifies and alerts supervisor to potential risk to quality or production targets
- Ensures timely and accurate order delivery
- Maintains accurate inventory levels and meets compliance controls
KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
- Partners with Material Handlers to meet distribution goals and metrics
- Works with inventory, receiving, picking, packing, quality control, sorting, loading, and replenishment functions for successful execution
- Coordinates with supervisor to ensure goals are met
- Communicates with Operations team to keep them informed on status of relevant processes
Typical Minimum Qualifications
- Typically requires 5+ years of related experience
Critical Skills
- Proficient in English - bilingual preferred
- Ability to work under minimal supervision with considerable latitude for independent judgment.

- Must be organized and able to work independently
Preferred Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements
- Standing, sitting, walking in warehouse environment
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
