As an Engineering Manager in our Product Tech Organization, you’ll make significant contributions to the success of one of our top strategic software products. Your primary responsibility is to lead your team by mentoring, developing/coaching your direct reports, helping guide processes, and working closely with other business partners to drive enhancements to our products and the value provided. Along the way, you’ll enjoy endless opportunities for you and your direct reports to take on responsibility, mentor and continue learning. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead a self-organizing team, clarifying responsibilities based on team priorities and flexing your leadership style to adapt to a variety of skill sets.
  • Build strong relationships with your team members, understanding their motivations, encouraging continuous learning and creating development plans to help them succeed.
  • Facilitate necessary cross-functional communication, getting the right people together at the right times to make decisions that keep your team effective.
  • Be a great teammate to your peers across the company, balancing the needs of your unit with those of other groups.
  • Work with recruiting team to engage candidates and play an active role in the interviewing process and hiring decisions.
  • Handle performance conversations and reviews (quarterly and annually) for your team.
  • Ensure successful onboarding and training of new hires.
  • Enable and nurture collaborative, adaptive working relationships with business partners who may not be versed in modern software development processes.
  • Help drive organizational change across the Product Tech Organization.
  • Have a pivotal role in the end-to-end delivery of a product, overseeing its progression from ideation to development to launch. This involves leading the team and implementing agile methodologies to ensure efficient and effective execution.

About You:

  • 2+ years of experience of being a contributing leader/manager on technical teams.
  • 3+ years of experience working in agile processes.
  • A natural collaborator who seeks out new perspectives and builds trusting relationships with both technical and non-technical partners at all levels.
  • Someone who drives for action and is passionate about delivering results.
  • Proven experience identifying and prioritizing the most important things amongst a myriad of important things; including what will be delayed or discarded to focus on what’s important now.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$127,500 - $212,500
