The Compile New Account Representative is an individual contributor, responsible for selling products in a specified region or major geographical area/market which includes specific customer accounts to achieve gross profit and sales targets. This role will grow an assigned account territory above base sales activity in order to maximize revenue from assigned accounts and will also reactivate assigned accounts and will also prospect for new business to grow assigned territory. The New Account Representativehas an individual Gross Profit (GP) and Revenue (TL) plans and related MBOs or goals. The role requires sustained customer/manufacturer partner contact and relationships.

Key Responsibilities include:

Rapid and Insightful Communication:

  • Provide crisp, quick, and meaningful responses complete with coverage estimates and quotes to support proposal development.

  • Maintain a high level of responsiveness to ensure effective communication with customers throughout the sales cycle.

Strategic Client Calls:

  • Introduce our cutting-edge Compile platform to prospective clients, showcasing its value proposition and addressing customer needs.

  • Conduct several calls daily to develop customer projects and clarify data attributes. 

Dataset Recommendations:

  • Analyze client use cases and recommend datasets that align with their specific needs.

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the datasets available, tailoring recommendations to meet diverse client requirements.

Pricing Strategies:

  • Develop pricing models based on therapeutic areas and proposal requirements.

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to align pricing structures with client expectations.

Additional Responsibilities include:

  • Managing/organizing day to day activities of your assigned accounts

  • Serves as the high-level client contact for assigned accounts

  • Proactively build deeper strategic relationships at higher levels within assigned accounts

  • Frequently monitors and reports activity against channel Manage all facets of entire sales cycle for assigned accounts

  • Conduct product and services presentations & demonstrations

  • Close new business consistently at or above quota level

  • Accurately forecast opportunities and update the CRM

  • Demonstrates enthusiasm, drive, rigor and a sense of urgency when managing assigned accounts

  • Keep on top of changes and trends in the marketplace and how these trends impact the business

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 2 years' business experience in an Inside Sales environment with focus on Biopharmaceutical, Life Sciences or Medical.

Critical Skills 

  • Excellent communications skills (verbal, written and presentation)

  • Aggressive self-starter with a passion for sales and the demonstrated ability to present ideas, gain acceptance and build strong relationships

  • Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation with the ability to work comfortably within all levels of the organization

Additional Knowledge & Skills 

  • Strong sales drive and proven ability to build and maintain lasting customer relationships.

  • Experience selling a large product line / large number of SKUs is a plus.

  • Experience positioning/ selling value propositions and technology solutions.

  • Experience managing territory profitability.

  • Experience collaborating with sales specialists/ team selling

  • Proficiency with using a CRM tool (e.g., Salesforce)

  • Proficiency with sales analytics

  • Proficiency with Excel, Power Point, Word, and Outlook

  • Experience presenting to c-suite

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Total Target Cash (TTC) Pay Range for this position:

$84,900 - $141,500

Total Target Cash (TTC) is defined as base pay plus target incentive.
