Responsibility
The Field Sales Representative (FSR) is responsible for developing and growing McKesson Canada’s independent retail pharmacy customer base. This role involves promoting our wholesale offerings, acquiring new business, and qualifying leads for other McKesson services. The FSR aims to achieve sales forecast objectives for a specific territory (Ontario, primarily GTA) and deliver value through the promotion of new and existing programs. By driving growth and ensuring customer satisfaction, the FSR will be instrumental in maintaining McKesson Canada’s market presence.
Section A – Specific Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities generally include but are not limited to:
- Promote wholesale offerings and programs to develop business and customer loyalty.
- Qualify leads and collaborate with finance and sales support for account setup.
- Develop and execute territory plans to meet sales forecasts and drive market share.
- Acquire new business and maintain relationships with existing customers.
- Guide new customers through the onboarding process.
- Establish and grow relationships with key Pharmacy decision-makers.
- Conduct business reviews and provide support to achieve long-term growth.
- Assess territory performance and adjust plans as needed.
- Ensure adherence to sales processes and use of CRM tools.
- Document and communicate market and customer trends.
- Act as a brand ambassador and uphold corporate values.
- Attend regional trade shows as needed.
- Conduct regular store visits to gather market intelligence.
- Use CRM tools to track activities and manage customer interactions.
- Follow up on leads and opportunities to drive conversions.
- Analyze and monitor sales data to identify trends and optimize strategies.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging opportunities.
- Participate in training and professional development.
- Manage in-store visits and corporate responsibilities to achieve results.
- Regularly present KPIs and comprehensive business reviews to Field Sales director
Section B – Position Requirements
- 3-5 years of field sales experience
- University degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Science, or a related field preferred
- Financially astute
- Understanding of the retail pharmacy landscape is an asset.
- Reside within close proximity to the territory boundaries.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Positive attitude, proactive, with a sense of urgency and initiative.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Salesforce and Power BI
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to balance corporate responsibilities with field sales activities.
- Demonstrated ability to present to management and conduct business reviews.
- Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and results-driven

- Valid driver's license required.
