Responsabilités spécifiques:

  • Préparer la documentation et coordonner les expéditions d'exportation et d'importation avec divers transporteurs (LTL/FTL, petits colis, transitaires aériens et maritimes).

  • Traiter et suivre les réclamations pour pertes et dommages de produits auprès des transporteurs appropriés.

  • Signaler et faire remonter tout problème important conformément aux procédures établies

  • Aider à la compilation d'informations sur les tarifs et les services de divers fournisseurs.

  • Répondre aux demandes internes de suivi et de traçabilité des informations relatives aux expéditions individuelles.

  • Participer au processus d'examen des factures entre leur approbation par le spécialiste des transports et les comptes fournisseurs afin de garantir que toutes les factures sont traitées rapidement et correctement.

  • Assurer la satisfaction des clients en maintenant un délai de livraison adéquat et en veillant à ce que toutes les livraisons soient effectuées dans le respect de nos directives (délai, qualité, efficacité).

  • Soutenir l'équipe d'approvisionnement en veillant à ce que les commandes entrantes soient expédiées et livrées à temps, et en assurant une communication adéquate avec le reste de l'équipe logistique.

  • Autres tâches en fonction des besoins.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Interacts with common carriers (third-party transportation companies) as appropriate

  • Assist in the creation of SOP and procedures

  • Assists with the development and maintenance of Key Performance Indicators and reports any deficiencies or negative trend as well as bringing ideas and possible scenarios to correct such discrepancies to Senior Management

  • Support the Transportation Specialist/Logistics team/cross-functional teams on projects and different tasks as necessary

  • With the guidance of the Sr. Manager of Logistics and the Transport Specialist, keeps the transport budget under control

  • Engage with the Logistics Team on areas of opportunity and improvement

  • Follow company policies and procedures, including Health and Safety policies

Exigences principales :

  • Diplôme universitaire ou technique en transport / gestion de la chaîne d'approvisionnement ou dans un domaine connexe ou une combinaison de 3 à 5 ans d'expérience dans le domaine du transport.

  • Excellentes capacités d'organisation, de résolution de problèmes et de relations interpersonnelles.

  • Solides compétences en communication anglaise (orale et écrite) pour communiquer avec les fournisseurs américains et étrangers.

  • Compétences intermédiaires en mathématiques et en lecture et grande attention portée aux détails et à la précision.

  • Familiarité et capacité à travailler avec les ordinateurs et l'automatisation, avec une solide compréhension et une volonté d'utiliser Microsoft Office et d'autres applications logicielles (une expérience d'Epicor et de Salesforce est un atout).

  • Connaissance approfondie et compréhension des différents modes de transport (routier, ferroviaire, aérien et maritime), des incoterms, des règles et de la législation, etc.

  • Bonne compréhension des procédures douanières d'importation et d'exportation

  • Capacité avérée à travailler en équipe, mais aussi à prendre des initiatives et à travailler de manière indépendante.

  • Flexibilité/adaptabilité démontrée

  • Capacité à remettre en question les processus et à rechercher des améliorations ou des moyens créatifs d'accomplir les tâches.

  • Forte orientation vers le service à la clientèle et engagement envers la satisfaction du client

Specific Responsibilities

  • Prepares documentation and coordinates exportation and importation shipments with various carriers (LTL/FTL, small parcel, air & ocean forwarders)

  • Process and monitor product loss and damage claims to appropriate carriers

  • Report and escalate any significant issues as per established procedures

  • Assist on compiling information on rates and services on various vendors.

  • Respond to internal requests for tracking and tracing for individual shipment information

  • Assist in the invoice review process between approval by the Transportation Specialist and Accounts Payable to ensure all invoices are processed promptly and correctly.

  • Ensures customer satisfaction by maintaining an adequate lead time for deliveries and ensure all deliveries are done respecting our guidelines (time, quality, efficiency)

  • Support the Procurement team with ensuring inbound orders are shipped and delivered on time, and ensuring proper communication with the rest of the Logistics team

  • Other duties as assigned

Key Requirements:

  • College or technical degree in Transportation / Supply Chain Management / related field or a combination of 3 – 5 years of transportation-related experience

  • Excellent organizational skills, problem-solving and interpersonal skills

  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written) for communicating with US & overseas suppliers

  • Intermediate math and reading skills and a high standard for attention to detail and accuracy

  • Must be familiar and able to work with computers and automation, with a solid understanding and willingness to use Microsoft Office and other software applications (experience with Epicor and Salesforce is an asset)

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of different modes transportation (road, rail, air & ocean), Incoterms, rules and legislation, etc.

  • Good understanding of import and export customs procedures

  • Proven ability to be a team player and work in a team environment, but also able to take initiative and work independently

  • Demonstrated flexibility/adaptability

  • Ability to challenge processes and seek out process improvements or creative ways of completing tasks

  • Strong focus on customer service and commitment to customer satisfaction

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$47,400 - $79,000
