Responsibility

Lead Material Handler, Warehouse

Location: Erlanger, KY, USA - 2825 Crescent Springs Pike

Schedule: Tuesday to Friday 6pm-430am. Shift subject to change based on needs of the business. OT mandatory when required.

Rate of pay: $23.65/hr + eligibility for benefits and a 5% bonus plan.

Our Distribution Center is looking for a dynamic and motivated Lead Material Handler to join our team. ​This is a fantastic chance to work for a company that has the rare mix of a fun yet high-paced and professional work environment. 

Job Summary

As directed by the supervisor, this position is responsible for accurately picking, packing, loading and shipping products to customers and replenishing inventory stock as established by policies and procedures.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Train, coach, mentor material handlers and lead processes

  • Responsible for accurate unit pick and case pick

  • Responsible for goods in procedure to ensure accurate inventory levels

  • Perform order audits for quality assurance

  • Ensure product orders are reviewed and error corrections are completed

  • Perform all tasks within the scope of all applicable Standard Operating Procedures related to the job

  • Other duties as directed by the Supervisor(s)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Typically requires 5+ years of related experience.

Additional Qualifications

  • 5 years of work related experience; team lead experience required

  • Experience in a distribution centre /warehouse/ manufacturing environment is strongly preferred

  • Experience and/or certification with warehouse equipment such as Forklift, Pallet Jack and Reach Truck are strongly preferred

  • Basic math and English reading skills and a high standard for attention to detail and accuracy

  • Proven ability to be a team player and work in a team environment

  • Strong focus on customer service and commitment to customer satisfaction

  • Must be familiar with, and able to work with, computer programs/software, automation, and RF scanners

  • Reliable and punctual

  • Behaviors aligned with the McKesson ICARE principals and values

  • Successful candidates must be willing and able to participate in a background and criminal record check

Physical Demands:

  • Must be comfortable working at heights

  • Must be comfortable working in the freezer when required

  • Ability to walk up to 10 miles throughout the course of a shift (steps vary per shift)

  • Ability to lift 20-40 pounds repetitively throughout the course of a shift without assistance; ability to lift greater weights in a team lift (weight varies based on product) 

  • May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day.

  • May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day.

  • May be necessary to work extended hours as needed.

  • Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.

  • May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion.

  • Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Must be able to hear normal voice sounds.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$18.56 - $30.94
