Position Description

Work Location: Irving, TX /Alpharetta, GA / Richmond, VA / Columbus, OH / The Woodlands, TX

The Sr. Director, Workforce Management and Compensation Service Technology leverages their deep understanding of HR technology and business acumen to enable effective and integrated resource planning and sales compensation technology solutions across McKesson.  The successful candidate will lead technical strategy development in partnership with business leaders to digitize workforce scheduling frameworks and optimize sales compensation automation resulting in improved efficiency for McKesson leaders and a modern employee experience.  As a leader in the HR technology space, responsibilities also include budget management, business case development, performance management to sustain service quality, and quantification of value delivered.

This role is instrumental in the translation of related business requirements into a clearly articulated technology vision and defined roadmap, supported by detailed technology delivery plans based on a strong understanding of the gaps between current and future state business and technology capabilities.  This role is a "trusted advisor" to business leaders across HR, Payroll, Business Operations, and Sales teams.  The successful leader will establish and maintain value-driven, strategic relationships with internal business partners, and proactively manage business demand. They link McKesson Technology’s capabilities to business partners’ individual goals, and openly pursue these goals, while building and executing plans to deliver technology and drive adoption to maximize value creation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Works with business leaders to align HR technology solutions with business strategies and actively contributes to strategic, enterprise planning processes to modernize and enhance Workforce Planning and Management services

  • Anticipates business needs and identifies and proposes IT products and services to fulfill those needs (This includes the IT opportunity pipeline management and qualification, as well as the internal value modeling and proposing process.)

  • Conducts business process analysis via business and process modeling aimed at transforming and improving business performance. Leverages process and task mining to discover, monitor, and improve real processes

  • Facilitates the planning and execution of business changes through the use of technology. Leverages formal organizational change management processes to drive adoption and value realization

  • Advises senior business leaders on the risks and benefits of using technology to build competitive advantage and improve business performance

  • Promotes an understanding of IT roles, processes and activities to the business, as well as acts as an advocate and champion of IT services and capabilities

  • Works with business and IT executives to define related business and IT performance metrics, and measures, tracks and reports on benefits realization and customer satisfaction levels

  • Identifies, manages, and resolves issues reported by internal partners and strategic partners, as needed

  • May assist in the development of service-level agreements (SLAs) or selection of strategic partners

Minimum Requirements

  • Typically has 12+ years of professional experience and 6+ years management experience.

Critical Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of workforce planning technology, including workforce analytics, forecasting, and modeling tools. 

  • Experience with utilizing HR technology stack across all levels of the enterprise

  • Prior experience in data analysis, visualization and reporting tools is also important to provide insights about workforce patterns across the Enterprise.

  • Demonstrated experience and success in leading teams, influencing peers and leadership to drive goal attainment and meet performance expectations is required.

  • Extensive experience in strategic planning, business development or client management

  • Experience with program and portfolio management, business analysis, and organizational change management

  • Broad understanding of the current and emerging technology trends and developments

  • Solid planning, financial and performance management skills

Additional Skills

  • Experience utilizing, integrating, and automating sales compensation technologies

  • Working knowledge of the health industry, major business processes and key performance indicators is preferred

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or other related field (or equivalent experience)

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$168,800 - $281,300
