Sr Director, IT Financials Management

Current Need

The Sr Director, IT Financials Management supporting PSaS CIO organization is a key member of the PSaS Technology Digital Operational Excellence and Governance organization. The role will focus on partnerships with members of the overall McKesson Technology (MT) organization (IT and Finance) to assist in meeting financial goals and interim metrics (e.g., quarterly forecast accuracy), continuous improvement goals, and evolve reporting to provide insights to PSaS CIO on the organization’s financial health. This leader will drive collaboration among PSaS CIO’s Leadership Team, MT Finance, and MT solution leaders and delivery leaders. The role ensures that BU and MT strategies are appropriately reflected in PSaS CIO’s budgets, forecasts, and long-range planning; and most importantly, ensures continuous improvement targets are met and provides value-added analysis and insights enabling sound decision-making.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships and become a trusted advisor to the PSaS CIO organization and other McKesson Technology teams.

  • Lead, coordinate and own PSaS CIO’s annual financial planning of budget, forecast, and reporting leveraging their technology expertise, with a focus on investments in new programs. allocations, continuous improvement savings

  • Understand the business needs for new investments, help validate business cases and track benefits to support the business portfolio management

  • Lead the review of allocation methodology by partnering with solution leaders across McKesson Technology as well as the business to ensure accurate allocations are charged to the business

  • Drives the assessment, preparation, and presentation of financials related to initiatives investments.

  • Identify new cost savings opportunities, lead/or coordinate to achieve those opportunities

  • Collaborate and partner with MT Finance team to ensure BU financials including KTLO and initiatives spend is reported per month-end close and forecasting process.

  • Measure, analyze and communicate financial KPIs/metrics to senior leadership with clear and concise reporting

Minimum Requirements

Typically requires 13+ years, with 8+ years, of direct work-related experience

Critical Skills

  • 10+ years of successful progressive financials management experience supporting technology is required

  • Experience leading and managing technology budget/forecast and operational savings initiatives

  • Strong knowledge of IT operations

  • Strives in a changing environment and leading changes through change management

  • Ability to influence and partner effectively with Executive-level Leaders across the organization in a matrixed organization

  • Proven ability to navigate through complexity and effectively solve problems

  • Firm grasp of finance concepts including capex and opex management

  • Aptitude for learning a new business, new area and new tools

Additional Skills

  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong sense of drive and initiative.

  • Ability to manage, triage, and prioritize multiple priorities from different stakeholders.

  • Ability to problem solve independently.

  • Comfortable developing clear and insightful presentations and speaking in front of the general company and executive leadership.

  • Willing to challenge status quo and assumptions.

  • Advanced knowledge of financial systems (ERP, Microsoft Office suite, etc.)

  • Experience with SAP, BPC and SAC is desired.

Education

4-year degree or related field or equivalent experience

In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$151,400 - $252,300
