Delivery Professional - Linehaul Tractor Trailer

McKesson Medical-Surgical (MMS) DC 75 (Bethlehem, PA) is looking for a safe, courteous, and reliable Linehaul – Tractor Trailer Delivery Professional.

Position Description:

• Professionally and safely delivers freight to our cross-docks. (PA, NJ, & NY) No deliveries inside of New York City.
• Unloads and Loads trailers with an electric pallet jack. (No Freight Breakdown required)
• Assists in various departments within the warehouse.
• Conducts daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Reports problems with tractors, trailers, and cross-dock locations.
• Keeps vehicle clean, neat, and organized.
• Abides by DOT regulations & consistently reviews/maintains ELOG’s.

We currently have the following position available:

Sun-Thursday start time between 8:00pm and 12:00am until route is complete

$30.00/ hour

Preferred Requirements: 

• 2 years’ experience operating a tractor-trailer.
• 2 years’ experience in a straight truck delivery vehicle or larger.
• Stand up forklift and electric pallet jack experience.

Minimum Requirements:

• Class A Commercial Driver’s License & current DOT Medical Card.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 as defined by the CDC, subject to applicable, verified accommodation requests.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Electronic logging experience.
• Ability to load/unload trucks with pallet jack/forklift. (Training Provided)
• Can read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.

Critical Skills: 

• Ability to communicate well with supervisors and co-workers.
• Ability to secure cargo and check for damages.
• Ability to adapt to new challenges (i.e., filling in for different routes & finding solutions to problems).

Other Skills: 

• Knowledge of PA, NJ, NY areas.

Education: 

• High School diploma or equivalent 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted
• Frequently required to sit for 3 or more hours
• Frequently required to stand for 3 or more hours
