POSITION: Senior Systems Engineer- PACS

LOCATION: 10101 Woodloch Forest Dr., The Woodlands, TX 77380

JOB DUTIES: Responsible for overseeing and coordinating existing and new participation in Picture Archiving & Communication Systems (PACS) and digital imaging initiatives; implementation, operation and support for PACS; day-to-day operation of PACS equipment including image workflow, archiving, auto routing, prefetching and other related activities; investigating, identifying, and preparing proposals to solve specific operational problems within all clinical operational areas, working closely with unit operations managers and division heads as well as involving the next level of administration as appropriate; Test, maintain, and monitor PACS computer programs and systems; developing of technical operating standards, policies, and procedures; reviewing feedback from customers, compiling and analyzing support data, and recommending procedural and educational changes as appropriate; acting as liaison between radiology and other departments related to medical imaging initiatives and procedures and assisting with existing or new medical imaging endeavors; overseeing and coordinating strategic planning for medical imaging initiatives. 10% Domestic travel for training and customer support.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field and Six (6) years of experience in the job offered, as a PACS systems engineer in a distributed environment, or a related occupation.

Applicants must have Six (6) years of experience with:

Radiology equipment across multiple modalities, including CT and at least one of the following: PET/CT, Ultrasound, or MRI.

Applicants must have Four (4) years of experience with:

DICOM protocol and communications between radiology modalities and a PACS system; and

Deploying DICOM Modality Worklists in a distributed environment.

Applicants must have Two (2) years of experience in the following:

Specific radiology equipment across multiple modalities, HL-7 interfaces and WAN networks.

OFFERED WAGE: $114,100-190,100/year
