Le/ la specialiste en automatisation de la qualité (QA) appliquera ses connaissances approfondies et son expérience dans le domaine des tests de données pour élever la barre des livraisons de Data Hub en assurant la qualité de nos processus ELT (Extract, Load, Transform). En tant que specialiste QA, vous contribuerez à l'équipe en accélérant notre rythme de livraison et en réduisant les tests manuels et redondants. De plus, vous travaillerez avec l'équipe pour aider à garantir que les normes de processus établies sont suivies et que nos applications répondent aux besoins de nos parties prenantes tout en passant dans l'environnement de production dans les délais impartis.

Responsabilités spécifiques:

  • Effectuer l'AQ automatisée pour l'équipe Data Hub, notamment ;

    • Rédiger et maintenir des plans de test concernant diverses fonctionnalités du produit

    • Planifier et développer des solutions automatisées pour tester les différents aspects du système qui peuvent être exploitées en continu et de manière plus précise que les tests manuels

    • Mettre en œuvre et maintenir une suite de tests de régression automatisés afin de réduire la charge des tests de régression manuels

    • Analyser les besoins des utilisateurs pour planifier les tests et les exigences d'assurance qualité. Identifier les problèmes de qualité et créer des rapports de test

    • Effectuer des revues de code et des promotions de code à travers les environnements

    • Examiner les rapports de bogues logiciels et mettre en évidence les zones problématiques

  • Collaborer avec les parties prenantes internes (architecte, développeurs et autres) et/ou externes si nécessaire pour résoudre les problèmes.

Exigences du poste:

  • Baccalauréat en informatique/génie informatique.

  • 3+ ans d'expérience pratique dans un rôle d'AQ ou de développement de logiciels.

  • Expérience de l'automatisation avec Python

  • Expérience dans l'écriture de requêtes SQL ; Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle

  • Expérience avec le pipeline automatisé CICD

  • Forte attention aux détails et excellentes compétences analytiques

  • Expérience dans la conception de scénarios de test et le signalement/débogage de bogues pour les bases de données

  • Connaissance de Git, Jira, Confluence

  • Capacité à travailler de manière indépendante ou en groupe avec un degré de supervision limité.

  • Capacité à travailler en équipe, à motiver les autres et à leur servir de modèle.

  • Capacité à travailler efficacement sous pression et à gérer des missions multiples.

  • Solides compétences en communication écrite et orale en français et en anglais.

Job Summary


The Quality Automation (QA) Specialist will apply their extensive knowledge and experience in the data testing domain to raise the bar for the Data Hub deliveries by ensuring the quality of our ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes. As a QA Specialist you will contribute to the team by accelerating our rate of delivery and reducing manual and redundant testing. Additionally, you will work with the team to help ensure that established process standards are followed and that our applications meet the needs of our stakeholders while moving into the production environment within the allocated timelines.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Perform automate QA for the Data Hub Team including;

    • Write and maintain test plans regarding various product features

    • Develop automated solutions for testing various aspects of the system that can be leveraged continuously and more precisely than manual testing

    • Implement and maintain an automated regression test suite to reduce the burden of manual regression testing

    • Analyze user needs to plan testing and quality assurance requirements. Identify quality issues and create test reports

    • Perform code reviews and code promotions through environments

    • Review software bug reports and highlight problem areas

  • Collaborate with internal (architect, developers and others) and/or external stakeholders where needed to solve problems.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in a Software QA or Development role

  • Automation Experience with Python

  • Experience with writing SQL queries; Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle

  • Experience with CICD automated pipeline

  • Strong attention to details and excellent analytical skills

  • Experience in test case designs and bug reporting/debugging for databases

  • Knowledge of Git, Jira, Confluence

  • Ability to work independently or in a group under a limited degree of supervision

  • Team player, with an ability to motivate and be a positive role model for others

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple assignments

  • Strong written and oral communication skills in French and English

The incumbent of this position will provide daily support to internal and/or external clients outside Quebec and/or in the United States. Therefore, he/she must be proficient in spoken and written English. Please note that the number of positions requiring English language skills has been limited where possible.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$66,400 - $110,600
