Current Need
The McKesson Technology Business Engagement Partner is responsible to drive the alignment of technology investments to optimize the company’s products and services portfolio to improve our Customer’s experience and McKesson’s business performance. This role drives execution of all IT priorities defined in collaboration with the Business including “lights on” and investment related efforts. This role will require someone with executive presence as the candidate will service as IT liaison for SVPs and above and should become their single points of contact for anything and everything technology related. Examples of the technology this role will be responsible for include Customer-facing technology platforms, Supply Chain technology, DC Operations technology, Data and Analytics with Data Product and Governance, and Finance Functions within our Medical-Surgical division.
A successful candidate will have the balanced experience and knowledge of business systems and financial acumen to deliver innovative technological solutions to support our Customers and business partners.
Job Description
Applies broad knowledge of company’s product/service capabilities to support organic and new growth areas, new technology, and emerging product/service opportunities.
Serve as a key advisor to BU senior leaders and partner with them to evaluate key market statistics and customer requirements to define product strategies and identify product opportunities to expand market share.
Leads business case for optimization of existing products/solutions alternatives and/or to create the next generation of new products.
Understands and optimizes the total cost of ownership of IT services within their business segment in alignment with the solutions teams.
Maintains IT demand & portfolio and leads trade-offs discussions via prioritization efforts keeping both business demands and IT constraints in mind.
Lead development of key metrics and KPIs to assess portfolio and operations health.
Collaborates with and oversees other senior managers responsible for defining product and service requirements, product specifications, and development roadmaps to ensure alignment with portfolio and business strategy priorities.
Minimum Requirements
Typically has 13 years of relevant experience
Critical Skills
10+ years experience in technology-enabled solution management; focus on enabling digital capabilities, including data product management and governance
Seasoned technology professional with track record of solving business problems with technology solutions
Ability to think big picture and connect market trends to develop and shape technology-enabled investment strategies
Program/portfolio management experience and ability to develop business-value led roadmaps
Strong business acumen with experience in business case development, and proven ability to collaborate and influence decisions at SVP and/or BU President level
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Advanced understanding of current and emerging analytics models and methodologies
Experience with supply chain, finance, distribution technology preferred
Experience with/in healthcare industry preferred
Broad IT knowledge (business, application, database, infrastructure/cloud architecture domains)
Ability to effectively communicate with, and influence, people on all levels
Open minded for effective collaboration with technical and business teams
Effective leadership and presentation skills, and experience in leading multiple and technically diverse teams to achieve results
Experience balancing enterprise mindset with the needs of business unit’s strategy
Education
Bachelor’s in IT, Computer Science, or related field required or equivalent experience
Master’s in related field or MBA strongly preferred
Agile/SAFe certification preferred

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
Our Base Pay Range for this position
