We are looking for a solutions architect who can lead the design of the application and system integrations, along with internal and external teams. You will guide the development team in building secure and robust solutions for our highly customized applications in Canadian health care domain.
Responsibilities
Lead the iterative design and code reviews
Design and develop solutions to meet user requirements with focus on delivery within project timelines
Promote security into software design and development process
Develop, document & maintain the application architecture artifacts
Develop Proof of concept for the potential product or feature
Continually researching current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed
Resolve technical problems as they arise
Assist or mentor support teams and lead the resolution of complex production issues when required
Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
Communicate effectively with co-workers in different roles and teams
Assist BAs in gathering technical requirements
Assist QAs in testing and reviewing teamwork
Ensure delivery of technical work to very high standard.
Knowledge/Requirements:
3+ years of experience in web applications and/or distributed .NET client/server desktop applications
10+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies (C#, WPF, ASP.NET, Web Services, XML)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Proven leadership experience in similar or related field
Previous experience with application design and complex system integrations
Familiar with security concept and related technologies
Ability to lead and collaborate with different teams to achieve team & company goals
Ability to grasp complex business concepts driving technology requests and decisions
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a high energy, fast-paced environment
Ability to meet deadlines and high-quality completion of assigned tasks
Strong skills in RDBMS, database design, triggers, stored procedures, and SQL scripts
Strong understanding of application development methodologies
Proficient in designing and developing multi-tiered business applications for high availability and scalability
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum software development environment
Knowledge of application design patterns and frameworks
Familiarity with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) concepts
Familiarity with unit tests, continuous integration and build processes
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Pharmacy experience and HL7 knowledge an asset.
Previous experience with API design

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
Our Base Pay Range for this position
