Account Manager

This role is posted in anticipation of projected business needs. We are seeking talented Account Managers at varying career levels.

This is a Work from Home position - MUST live within the state of Tennessee and a commutable distance of LaVergne, TN.

Position Description:

The Account Manager is responsible for achieving annual goals by managing and growing a book of small segment customers in a designated territory. The Account Manager will build direct relationships with customers to achieve target objectives, attend to every day account needs, apply a consultative selling approach, and leverage internal teams to provide the optimal customer experience. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Successfully manage and grow an assigned list of customers within a designated territory.
  • Maintains a high-performing book of business by collaborating proactively with other supportive departments within the organization, including financial and administrative teams.
  • Handle incoming customer requests and ensure that issues are resolved both promptly and thoroughly.
  • Develop a detailed knowledge base of the marketplace, environment, physician practice dynamics and concerns.
  • Completion of training and educational key learning initiatives.

Skills and Education Requirements:


  • 4-year degree (Bachelor's degree)
  • 2+ years of advanced experience in MS Office, specifically Excel


  • 2 years of sales and/or account management experience in the healthcare setting, preferably within the pharmaceutical/biotech or healthcare distribution space
  • Consultative selling experience to the specialty physician market highly preferred
  • Experience in and demonstrated understanding of healthcare and distribution, GPO, community oncology, industry trends, EHRs, inventory management technologies, billing and coding, private and public reimbursement models and payer contracting highly desired
  • Experience with pharmaceutical products (preferably specialty) and buy-and-bill model
  • Project Management experience
  • or CRM software experience
  • Capable of preparing and delivering professional sales presentations to divergent audiences

  • Team player with strong interpersonal and resource management skills
  • Ability to identify all decision makers and gain a commitment
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and develop relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to navigate a matrix organizational structure


  • 4-year degree required, preferably with an emphasis in sales and marketing, business management, or healthcare related field.

Our Total Target Cash (TTC) Pay Range for the position:

$20.42 - $34.03

Total Target Cash (TTC) is defined as base pay plus target incentive.
