Position Description **Individual Contributor Role**

The Sr. Training Manager is senior facilitator and training consultant to our internal stakeholders.  This position is responsible for aligning talent development initiatives to segment scorecard priorities and overall business performance, as well as helping to build selling skills of the field sales organizations, develop online and instructor-led course content and ensure instructional integrity of all programs and courses developed by the Instructional Designers.​ The Training Manager works with key stakeholders to collaboratively address talent development needs within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as one of the lead sales trainers to identify and deploy training initiatives.

  • Report on performance to internal and field-based stakeholders.

  • Lead effort to improve, modify, and/​or streamline processes to address inefficiencies, minimize weaknesses, and keep in step with an ever-changing selling environment; ensure that processes and practices support McKesson’s sales goals.

  • Lead and support organizational change prompted by the introduction of new methodologies and processes.

  • Introduce industry best practices into team operations as appropriate.

  • Represent the Sales Training organization to stakeholder groups throughout McKesson.

  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with key subject matter experts to ensure alignment across business functions.

  • Manage the activities involved in the design, preparation and delivery of all sales training based on target audience analysis.

  • Continually assess impact of delivered training and make improvements to learning material according to stakeholder feedback and net promoter score data.

Minimum Requirements
7+ years in Sales/Account Management with minimum 2 years of training and development.


Critical Skills

  • 2+ years’ training experience consisting of instructor led training (ILT) sessions as well as virtual learning.

  • 5+ years’ previous sales and/or sales management experience preferably in healthcare or a related industry.

  • Proven ability to collaborate and influence leaders and/or stakeholders in other disciplines within a cross-functional organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvement with effective change management strategies.

  • Excellent writing, critical thinking, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Microsoft Office skills required.

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Familiarity with online learning platforms and related technologies (e.​g.​, HTML, Articulate, Captivate, Flash, Cornerstone, Highspot (or other LMS)

  • Previous experience supporting field sales team members in a developmental or coaching capacity, formally or informally.

  • Experience utilizing sales enablement platforms.

  • Experience in healthcare industry and pharmaceutical distribution.

Education
4-year degree in HR, Business, Education or related field, or equivalent experience

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$107,600 - $179,400
