Job title: Compliance Architect - Sox, Security and Site Reliability

Work location: Irving, TX (This is a hybrid role, with a frequency of 1-3days visit to the office in-person)

Current Need:

We are seeking a Compliance Architect - Sox, Security and Site Reliability to join our application engineering team in the Irving, TX office. 

Position Description:

The Compliance Architect - Sox, Security and Site Reliability will develop and maintain the SOX & compliance for our internal applications developed using various technologies.

Critical skills:

  • Minimum 5+yrs of experience in SOX
  • Must have 2+ years of experience in Site reliability engineering.
  • Strong experience in GCP / Azure cloud providers, cloud native application stack with site reliability and compliance controls
  • 5+ years of experience in application support (Traditional Fat Client and Web based with SQL Server database backend)
  • 2+ years supporting system integration solutions. (web services/API)
  • 2+ years using automated build/provisioning processes.
  • Experience in infrastructure automation, portfolio of applications health status automation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Bringing over 7+ years of comprehensive expertise in software, systems, and site reliability engineering, covering system administration across multiple technologies specific to compliance:
  • Demonstrated mastery in SOX compliance, enforcement, and automated evidence collection is an essential.
  • Partner with internal, external auditors to understand each control and ensure we have evidence for each control with zero deficiencies.
  • Proficient in designing, implementing, and supporting SOX-compliant products and applications within distributed environments.
  • Coordination and tracking of SOX IT control activities (e.g., Internal and External Audit deficiencies, meetings, etc.)
  • Analyzing and compiling data for monitoring, dashboarding and reporting on the remediation of IT control deficiencies.
  • Hands-on experience to enterprise software deployment and management tools, including SOX validations and site reliability engineering specific to compliance requirements.
  • Partnering with IT teams to continuously assess the design of controls.
  • A solid working understanding of security requirements is crucial.
  • Proficient in scripting and programming languages to automate evidence collection for specific SOX controls within each application.
  • Experience in implementing observability of modern and legacy applications leveraging tools such as elastic/ Dynatrace.
  • Analyze and update SOC report evaluations, partnering with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in system architecture and implementation. 60% hands-on engineering.
  • Rooted in systems engineering principles.
  • Experience encompassing cloud infrastructure, database technologies, programming languages, principles, and concepts; application infrastructure and standards; networking fundamentals; identify and access management.

Minimum Requirements : Degree or equivalent and typically requires 5-7 years of relevant experience.

Additional Knowledge and Skills Preferred:

  • Experience using a Cloud provider, such as GCP, Azure, and/or AWS
    Experience in monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Elastic 
  • Scripting language experience to support application and/or cloud automation. (PowerShell, Terraform, Python, etc.)
  • Understanding of DevOps tools and environments like Jenkins, Git and/or Terraform
    Excellent communication skills. (Written, verbal, and presentation)
  • Ability to make decisions.
  • Proven incident/problem solving.
  • Ability to analyze highly complex systems with specific attention to detail.
  • Team player mentality with specific focus on inclusion

Education

•    Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, Computer Science preferred or relevant professional experience

    As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

    Our Base Pay Range for this position

    $117,200 - $195,400
