Sr. Associate Electrical Engineer

Position Description

As the leading provider of products and systems for the specialty mail order industry, CoverMyMeds delivers an unequaled depth and breadth of innovation serving a variety of industries. This position is an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join the engineering department in Longmont, CO. The Electrical Engineer’s duties support the manufacturing, design, and testing of the company’s ever evolving product line.  In addition to overall engineering responsibilities of organization and cleanliness, the position also requires developing project designs, drawings, calculations, and other documentation utilized by internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain electrical schematics to support assembly and installation of machines and equipment.
  • Follow best practices for design and CAD file management.
  • Interact with Engineers, Customers, and Technicians to troubleshoot electrical issues in the field.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities during product development and production.
  • Develop and perform testing protocols of the company’s product line.
  • Troubleshoot development and production issues in a timely manner.
  • Perform highly detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks.
  • Work under intensive deadlines with frequent interruptions.
  • Interact with managers, staff, customers, the public and others during work.

Shift Details: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience

Critical Skills

  • 2+ years of experience working in a development and production environment as an electrical engineer with a high attention to detail.
  • 2+ years creating and maintaining electrical schematics in Autocad or equivalent
  • Experience with Industrial panel power calculations (AC single and three phase, DC Control power)
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others using spoken and written word.
  • Ability to effectively build relationships with customers and co-workers.
  • Demonstrated electrical skills in a hands-on environment.
  • Microsoft Office and Google Docs proficiency.
  • Strong project & cross functional skills.
  • Customer service minded.

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience in automation industry is highly desired
  • Knowledge of controls programming
  • Solidworks Electrical is desired
  • Vault PDM/Autodesk Vault Professional familiarity is desired
  • Knowledge or desire to learn about Programming Logic Controllers


  • BS in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited institution or equivalent

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$74,000 - $123,400
