The CoverMyMeds team is looking to hire a Software Developer to join our team in the Atlanta, GA area that supports providing pharmacy data requests to our external clients. Our ideal candidate will have backend software engineering experience coding in Perl and Python, responsible for designing and implementing scalable and efficient server-side applications, APIs and database interactions. Qualified candidates must reside in the Atlanta, GA and be willing to work a hybrid work schedule consisting of primarily working from home, but also a couple of times every two weeks in our Atlanta-based offices at 2 National Data Plaza NE.

Key Responsibilities

• Focus on building scalable data solutions through software and data engineering

• Design, build, deploy, test, and debug components in accordance with SDLC best practices

• Work with RDBMS, NoSQL, and real-time streaming systems

• Identify and develop methods to improve data reliability, security, protection, efficiency and quality of data assets and processes

• Troubleshoot and facilitate timely resolution of technical issues

• Drive engineering best practices with TDD and BDD methodologies

• Modernize existing legacy applications, writing production ready code using software development best practices

• Work with the Product teams and participate in the process of creating/estimating and refining user stories/requirements

• Establishes strong working relationships and fosters an environment of continuous learning and improvement

• Investigate/evaluate new technologies for use within our business solutions

Minimum Requirements: 

• 4+ years software engineering experience, including experience with data engineering focusing on building scalable data solutions, as well as working with RDBMS, NoSQL and real-time streaming systems.

Critical Required Skills:

• 4+ years of software development experience with strong programming skills and expertise in Perl, Python

• 4+ years of enterprise level, full-stack development experience with relational database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server) and data warehousing principles

• Proficiency with Unix and Linux command line tools on Windows/Linux Operating System

• Knowledge of warehouse ecosystem

• Results-oriented team player, with the ability to handle a rapidly changing set of projects and priorities while maintaining a strong professional presence

• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with a wide range of users ranging from very technical to non-technical

• Healthcare industry experience a plus
